Quality company- Those who participate in The Artist's Showcase must be full time artists or pursuing a path of study to become a full time artist. Images submitted by artists must meet a minimum standard. Additionally, The Artist's Showcase reserves the right to decline acceptance of applicants whose work is not consistent with the standards of quality of The Artist's Showcase.
If your ultimate goal is to have a stand alone web site, starting out on The Artist's Showcase is an excellent way to get started. You will have already digitized and optimized your images, composed and formatted your artist statement and resume etc. Building a stand alone site would then be a simple matter of transferring that content you have on The Artist's Showcase to your new site.
How much will a web site in The Artists's Showcase cost?
The Artists's Showcase is designed to be completely modular. You can have as many or as few features as you like to meet your needs and budget. The costs for the various features are listed below.

There is no mechanism in place for selling your work directly from your web page on The Artist's Showcase, although this may become a feature in the future if there is enough demand. Your web page is a valuable tool that streamlines communication between you and your galleries and buyers.
topWhat if I already have my own web site?
If you have your own stand alone web site and wish to establish a link from The Artist's Showcase to your web site in order to avail yourself of the advantages of being part of The Artist's Showcase (huh?), the link is free, but you must build a small page for yourself and put a link from your site to The Artist's Showcase.

No. The Artist's Showcase is not involved in any way between you and your clients. The Artist's Showcase is here to simply help you connect with your clients. After that, we only hope for fruitful results.

topOnce I join, how do I get my page in place?
The Artist's Showcase is designed so that each artist is in complete control over the management of their content. Using forms appropriate for the specific task, you can upload, edit or delete any area of your page. For example, to upload images you access the image upload form where you browse your computer for the image you have in mind, enter the information about that image and hit the submit button. The image will be uploaded, resized, a thumbnail will be generated and shown to you along with a success message. Same with your artist statement. Access the artist statement form. Either type or copy and paste your statement and upload. In this manner, you build your entire site. There are links to the various forms for uploading, editing and deleting all information you wish to put on your page in the member area.
In addition there is an ever expanding array of visual elements of your page you can customize to your liking.
